- 31 October 2003: - F-Prot warns about a new fast spreading virus.
This is a virus alert for W32/Mimail.C@mm, a new Mimail variant, first detected on 31 October 2003.
This worm spreads by e-mail in a ZIP-archive that contains a file named photos.jpg.exe (some Windows users may see this file only as photos.jpg). The subject of these e-mails is "Re[2]: our private photos".
Users of F-Prot Antivirus and other antivirus products should update their virus signature files immediately. W32/Mimail.C@mm is detected by F-Prot Antivirus using virus signature files dated 31 October 2003 and later.
- 14 August 2003: - About the new Blaster.A & Blaster.B & Blaster.C worm Microsoft's Windows Update server could be out of service sooner rather than later because of a new worm that exploits a major Windows flaw. The MSBlast worm is spreading rapidly, and security experts predict that the spread will accelerate when hackers refine its code.

- 9 January 2003: - A new virus Yaha was found on Sunday the 22nd of December, 2002. There are now 3 viruses in this family, It is a massmailer.
E-mails sent by this version talk about "Enjoy this friendship Screen Saver and Check ur friends circle..." etc.
To block the virus, strip attachments ending with .SCR and .EXE and .COM at your firewall.
